Santander and Unicredit finance wind farm in Italy

Fri-El Green Power S.p.a. and Golden Agri Resources closed financing for the 72MW Nuova Energia wind project in Italy.

Santander and UniCredit provided the project finance for the deal. The bank debt financing totalled €65.2 million ($70 million).Ashurst Italy advised UniCredit S.p.A. and Banco Santander S.A. Milan Branch in the deal.The 72MW wind farm is located in the in the municipalities of Gravina in Puglia and Poggiorsini in the Puglia region.The project has been one of the few wind projects closing financing in Italy this year.

The Ashurst team was led by partner Carloandrea Meacci, assisted by senior associate Francesca Brilli and associates Elena Macchi and Nicholas Toscano.
