Risen Energy announces 100 MW project in China

Risen Energy has announced plans to develop a 100 MW solar project located near the city of Hebi in the province of Henan, China.

Specifically the new facilities will be located in a village in Qi county. The new plant will be developed in two phases: 

  • The first phase, which is expected to be operational by late December, involves the development of a 30 MW photovoltaic solar plant.
  • The second phase, which is expected to be operational by March 2016, includes the development of the remaining 70 MW.

The total project investment is estimated at CNY835 million (US$131.3 million)

Hebi is a prefecture-level city in northern Henan province, China. The city is situated in mountainous terrain at the edge of the Shanxi plateau.
