ReNew Power signs PPAs for 286 MW of solar projects in Telangana, India

ReNew Power, an Indian renewable energy company headquartered in Haryana, has signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) for four grid-connected solar projects with a combined capacity of 286 MW in the Indian state of Telangana.

ReNew Power will use energy from its more than 410 MW of PV projects commissioned or under construction in Telanagana, divided on the following farms:

Mahbubnagar

  • Project capacity : 120 MW
  • Project location : Mahbubnagar, Telangana

Medak

  • Project capacity : 28.80 MW
  • Project location : Medak, Telangana

Dichipally

  • Project capacity : 171.60 MW
  • Project location : Dichipally, Telangana

Minpur

  • Project capacity : 78 MW
  • Project location : Minpur, Telangana

Mandamarri

  • Project capacity : 57.60 MW
  • Project location : Mulkanoor, Telangana

Mulkanoor

  • Project capacity :36 MW
  • Project location : Mulkanoor, Telangana

Sumant Sinha, chairman and chief executive of ReNew Power, said:

"The signing of these PPAs gives a further boost to the leadership position that ReNew Power holds in the clean energy space. The project will be implemented in line with our highest quality standards and at a swift pace. We believe Telangana will play an important role in helping India meet its solar energy target of 175 GW capacity by 2022."
