Power Capital Partners appoints Douglas C. Anderson as Managing Director

Power Capital Partners LLC has announced that Douglas C. Anderson has joined the Company as Managing Director and Director of Research & Due Diligence where he will be responsible for leading investment research and project due diligence activities. In addition Mr. Anderson will serve on the PCP Investment Committee.

Power Capital Partners is a private equity firm formed in partnership with Hunt Power Capital Partners, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hunt Consolidated, Inc., to invest globally in the development, construction and operation of fully contracted or hedged conventional and renewable power plants and related infrastructure.

Mr. Anderson has more than 30 years of experience in the power, energy and infrastructure sectors in various capacities including engineering, business and project development, project financing, and asset and risk management. Most recently, Mr. Anderson held senior positions at two international companies, Enerkem and agri.capital, both of which were focused on developing and operating waste-to-energy facilities.

Previously, Mr. Anderson was a Managing Director in the Structured Finance Group at GE Capital (GE SFG). Mr. Anderson began his career at GE SFG managing a portfolio of domestic gas-fired and geothermal power plants representing a total investment of approximately $1.5 billion. Mr. Anderson later managed the GE SFG international portfolio which represented a total investment of approximately $3.0 billion in more than 20 countries. The international portfolio included investments in P.T. Paiton Energy Company (Indonesia), UCH Power (Private) Limited (Pakistan), Quezon Power Limited Co. (Philippines) and Dabhol Power Company (India). In addition, Mr. Anderson held directorships on the boards of various power project companies, including Electropaz (Electricidad de La Paz S.A.) (Bolivia), Trinidad and Tobago Methanol Company and Aluminium Dunkerque (France).

Prior to GE SFG, Mr. Anderson held various positions with Fortistar Capital, Citizens Utilities Company, Catalyst Energy Corporation, Northeast Utilities Company and United Engineers & Constructors. Mr. Anderson received a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
