Michael Midden appointed Principal of Power and Renewables Lending

Energy & Infrastructure Capital LLC (EIC), an investment manager specializing in lending to companies in the global energy and infrastructure sectors, announced on July 10th that it has hired Michael Midden to lead debt investments in the power and renewables sector.

Jerry Polacek, EIC’s CEO, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Mike to the EIC team and to have him lead our power and renewables lending platform. Mike brings a proven track record of developing and leading power and renewable energy lending businesses that we will harness to provide attractive financings for our clients."

Mr. Midden has 18-years of experience in project and structured finance with expertise in leading debt origination, marketing and financial structuring in the North American energy market. Prior to joining EIC, he was Senior Director for Sol Systems where he established a debt platform for solar projects. His additional experience includes Co-Head of Energy for Dexia Credit Local, leading the renewable energy business for Dexia’s Structured Finance Group.

Mr. Midden has experience across the utility, IPP and project-level capital structure and all power generation sectors. He will be focused on direct lending to clients in the power and renewables sector.

Energy and Infrastructure Capital LLC (EIC) announced in June that it has hired P. Brent Grundberg to lead debt investments in the oil and gas sector.
