KGAL Group purchases another WKN wind farm

Husum-based developer WKN AG, a subsidiary of the PNE WIND Group, has sold the German wind farm Saxon energy park Ebersgrün  to KGAL Group, an asset manager based in Grünwald.

In 2013, KGAL Group had already acquired the German WKN AG wind farms Hollige, Kastorf and Kropp as well as the rights for the French WKN AG project Dargies.

Martinus Scherweit, CEO of WKN AG, stated:

We are pleased that once again we were able to convince the KGAL Group of our project competence.

The Saxon energy park Ebersgrün in the Vogtland District has already been commissioned. The expected annual electricity production of the 8.2MW wind farm amounts to approximately 21 million kilowatt hours. Thus, the wind farm developed by WKN AG supplies eco-friendly electricity to about 6,000 households in Saxony.

The project consists of four wind turbines of the type Senvion MM92 with 2.05 megawatts of installed capacity each. All turbines were erected at 100 metres hub height.

WKN AG is one of the leading developers of turn-key energy projects in Europe and the United States. The business activities of the Husum-based pioneer in the wind industry range from location evaluation and development to planning and financing, to the turn-key construction and operation of energy farms and right on up to their technical and commercial administration.

KGAL is an asset manager based in Grünwald near Munich. The KGAL-Group has been initiating and managing long term real capital investments which provide stable and steady returns for more than 46 years. It puts together and manages funds for institutional investors, while also providing investment solutions for family offices.
