John Garvey Joins Leidos Engineering in Energy Asset Transaction Services Division

Leidos Engineering has hired John Garvey as a managing director in its Asset Transaction Services division. Garvey is working out of the Framingham, Massachusetts, office, helping Leidos grow its capabilities and portfolio in energy-intensive commercial and industrial market segments.

In his new role, Garvey leads sales and execution of consulting projects within the electric power, midstream gas and process industries. His responsibilities include the analysis of technologies and industry conditions related to independent engineering and market reviews.

Brad Barta, Asset Transaction Services division manager, said:

“John is already familiar with our services and many of our clients, as he spent a good portion of his career with Stone & Webster in consulting roles. We are extremely excited to have John coming on board as our clients will greatly benefit from his experience and management.”

After his time at Stone & Webster, Garvey worked with several independent power companies, serving in a variety of roles from leading portfolio mergers, acquisitions and divestures to project development and asset management, among other roles. An experienced energy executive, his consulting, management and strategic leadership career spans more than 25 years in the energy industry.

Garvey holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He also graduated from Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Program in risk management for corporate leaders.
