Ingeteam has been chosen as the technology partner to equip the 70 MW/340 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Northern Italy.
Ingeteam will supply 59 fully integrated battery containers with auxiliary cooling systems, automatic fire detection, extinction, etc. Each container will have nominal values of 2.88MW / 5.76 MWh. It will also carry out the field assembly of the storage system and its subsequent start-up.
The project will also be equipped with 15 power stations, 59 INGECON SUN STORAGE Power Series B battery inverters, an INGECON SUN Plant Controller control system, and a SCADA monitoring system.
The project is scheduled to be operational in 2023 and will serve the electricity grid in Italy.
