Aela Generation SA is seeking US$175 million of financial support for a project involving the construction of two wind parks and a transmission line in Chile.
The Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) is reviewing the request. The company plans to build the 129 MW Aurora wind farm in Los Lagos and the 170 MW Sarco wind park in Atacama. The latter will comprise 50 Senvion's 3.4M114 wind turbines.
The Aurora wind farm will use 43 of Senvion's 3.0M112 machines. The project also includes the construction of a transmission line of an approximately length of 73 km and covers an already operational wind park totalling 33 MW.
