HSH Nordbank has provided a long-term financing for the 25 MW Kappel wind farm, which is located on the Danish island of Lolland.
The wind farm was built by Danish developer European Energy and acquired by a fund managed by Aquila Capital, the alternative asset management division of the Hamburg-based Aquila Group.
The project consists of seven wind turbines, all of which are 3.6 MW, by Danish manufacturer Vestas. Six of these are V117 turbines and one is a V126 turbine. The project entered into a long-term full maintenance contract with Vestas.
International law firm Watson Farley & Williams has advised HSH Nordbank AG on the financing of the Kappel wind farm.

PFA Pension has committed US$100 million to the The Africa Infrastructure Fund, thus totaling the commitments from A.P. Moller Holding and the other anchor investors PKA, Pension Denmark and Lægernes Pension (The Medical Doctor’s Pension Fund) to US$650 million.
