Gazprom appoints CEO of Russia-Turkey pipeline

Gazprom Russkaya, a firm created by Russian state-owned Gazprom to develop the Russia - Turkey pipeline, has appointed Andrey Fick as chief executive officer (CEO).

Andrey Fick was born in the Krasnodar Territory in 1969. He graduated from Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute in 1993, majoring in 'engineering technologies'. He obtained the second university degree from Kuban State Technological University in 2000, majoring in 'cryoengineering'. He has an MBA degree and a PhD degree in Engineering.

He has been a member of Gazprom team since 1996. From 2013 to 2015 he was Technical Director at South Stream Transport B.V., prior to that he was working as Deputy Director General for Repair and Capital Construction and Head of the Beregovoye Line Pipe Operation Center at Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar.

Gazprom Russkaya will develop the Russia - Turkey pipeline proposed following the cancelation of the South Stream project. The Russia - Turkey pipeline project will involves the development of four individual lines, each with a capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters (bcm). The total project investment is estimated at US$40 billion.
