Forum Equity Partners appoints Nikolas Novograd to drive U.S expansion and invest in renewables

Forum Equity Partners has appointed Nikolas Novograd as Principal, Energy and Renewables, to be based in San Francisco, California (USA).

In his role, Mr. Novograd will focus on new investment opportunities, furthering Forum Equity Partners’ commitment to the renewable energy industry in North America.

Mr. Novograd has held senior executive positions within the energy investment industry, where most recently he was Vice President, Origination at Renewable Energy Trust Capital, Inc. (“RETC”). Before joining RETC, he was a Director in Wells Fargo’s Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance Group, where he originated and structured tax equity investments in wind and solar power projects.

Prior to Wells Fargo, he was Head of Finance at NextLight Renewable Power LLC, a solar power developer backed by Energy Capital Partners, which was sold to First Solar, Inc., where he was Vice President. Mr. Novograd began his career as a project finance banker, holding positions at MUFG, ABN AMRO Bank and GE Capital.

Mr. Novograd received an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
