Fortum concludes the divestment of its shareholding in AS Eesti Gaas

Fortum recently said that it has concluded the divestment of its 51.4% shareholding in the Estonian natural gas import, sales and distribution company AS Eesti Gaas.

Fortum announced on 23 February 2016 that it is selling its shareholding to Trilini Energy OÜ.

Fortum estimates to book a one-time pre-tax sales gain totalling approximately €12 million (currently corresponding to approximately EUR 0.01 per share) in its first quarter 2016 results.

AS Eesti Gaas is the Estonian natural gas company, which imports and sells natural gas. It also engages, among others, in the construction and maintenance of gas installations.

The firm was founded in 1990 and is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
