Fiera Axium Infrastructure and Régime de rentes du Mouvement Desjardins have completed the acquisition of a 30% equity interest in the Canadian Saint-Robert Bellarmin wind project from EDF EN Canada Inc.
Enbridge Inc. and EDF EN Canada partnered in July 2013 to become joint owners of the project.
Fiera Axium Infrastructure acquired the interest through its infrastructure fund Fiera Axium Infrastructure Canada II L.P. EDF EN Canada Inc. and Enbridge Inc. continue to maintain ownership positions in the Project of 20% and 50%, respectively.
The project achieved commercial operations in 2012 and sells power to Hydro-Québec Distribution under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement. Located in the municipality of Saint-Robert-Bellarmin, Québec, the project has an aggregate generation capacity of 80 MW and was developed by EDF EN Canada Inc., a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles.
EDF Renewable Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, will continue to provide operations and maintenance services to the project under an O&M agreement.
