Equinox Energy Capital acquires 57 MW solar PV parks in the UK

UK-based private investment firm Equinox Energy Capital has agreed to acquire from UK property company Bloombridge Development Partners and UK-based turnkey solar project developer ROC Energy the project rights to 57 MW of PV parks in UK.

The right to develop solar parks are located at four sites across Oxfordshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire The projects rights involved in the transaction include the following facilities:

  • Gaultney Solar Park, 21.2MW
  • Flit Solar Park, 10.5MW
  • Rowles Solar Park, 11.5MW
  • Egmanton Solar Park, 13.9MW

All sites have secured planning consent and Equinox Energy Capital has engaged ROC Energy as the EPC contractor. All sites will be connected under the Renewable Obligation (RO) support scheme. The projects are scheduled to be connected before April 2015.

These sites will form part of Equinox Energy Capital’s UK portfolio of more that 200 MW of PV which will be constructed before the end of the current Renewable Obligation (RO) support scheme.
