 Elecnor - APG win another transmission concession in Chile

Elecnor, through its subsidiary Celeo Redes, has won the contract for the Nueva Diego de Almagro transmission concession project in Chile.  Celeo Redes, which is also owned by APG, will be responsible to carry out the project.

The project comprises the design, build, finance and operation of the transmission system during the concession period. The total project investment is estimated at US$90 million. The project is expected to be financed throug a mix of equity and long-term debt.

This project will enable Chile to deliver power safely from power plants to consumption points. It is expected to start commercial operation within 42 months. 

Yesterday we reported that Colbún S.A., the Chile state-owned utility company engaged in the electric power transmission segment, awarded a 15-year power purchase agreement to Total and SunPower for 500 gigawatt hours (GWh) of photovoltaic solar energy per year.
