Edegel and Chinango sell Peruvian transmission assets

Edegel and Chinango, both subsidiaries of Enel Group, have sold transmission assets in Peru to Conelsur. 

The US$60 million transaction includes 21 transmission lines 220 kV and 60 kV, with a total length of 650 Km.

Conelsur, a company linked to the Chilean company Canadian capital Transelec Holdings Rentas, has entered into the Peruvian market through this deal.

The sale process, which began in early June 2015 through a competition by direct invitation, has been closed on 19 July with the signing of the sales contract. 

Enel said that the purpose of the sale of non-strategic assets seeks to free resources to focus on strategic future investments.
