Developer sought for 1000MW coal-fired power project in Hyderabad

The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSSPDCL) and Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) in India are procuring a tender process to buy electricity on a long term basis from a 1,000 MW Power Station located in Southern Region on Design, Build, Finance, Own and Operate (DBFOO) basis.

The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TSSPDCL) was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 as a Public Limited Company on 30-03-2000 with headquarters at Hyderabad to carryout electricity distribution business.

The utility has decided to carry out a bidding process for selection of a corporate entities as the bidder to whom the contract may be awarded for production of electricity and supply thereof for a period of 8 years as per the terms and conditions specified in the bidding documents.

The tender process will have the following schedule:

  • Last date for receiving queries: 23.05.2015 2.
  • Pre-Application Conference: 25.05.2015 3.
  • Utility response to queries latest by: 01.06.2015 4.
  • Application Due Date: 10.06.2015 5.
  • Announcement of shortlists 17.06.2015
