Deloitte appoints Thomas Sloop as oil & gas Managing Director in Houston

Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC has recently appointed of Thomas W. Sloop as managing director in its Houston office.

In connection with his new role, Sloop will lead the development of the oil & gas investment banking practice. He will be responsible for the origination of financial advisory services for oil & gas clients in the US and will assist member firms serving clients globally providing C-Suite, board, and operational level strategic advisory, commercial development, transaction leadership, and deal facilitation support across the sector.

Thomas is a seasoned development professional, consultant, and investment banker with twenty-five years of experience in the business. He has extensive international experience and completed in the course of his career over $40 billion in energy and energy-related financings representing clients in project finance, capital markets transactions, IPOs, strategic advisory, and cross border M&A.

Previous to Deloitte, Thomas led the midstream M&A advisory and consultancy practice for Pace Global Energy, a Siemens Corporation business. Prior to Siemens, Thomas ran his own energy advisory and principal investment firm. He began his investment banking career with Morgan Stanley & Co. and has held leadership positions with Barclays Capital and UBS Securities. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
