China Everbright International wins Shandong Zouping Waste-to-energy project

China Everbright International Limited has won the bid for Shandong Zouping County Household Waste-to-energy Project on 30 June, with a leading score in the overall bidding process.

Zouping Project will be constructed on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) basis for a concession period of 30 years. The Project has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of1,050 tonnes and will be constructed in two phases.

Phase I of the project has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 700 tonnes, commanding a total investment of approximately CNY400 million (US$60 million). Gas emissions will fully comply with the Euro 2010 Standard and it is expected to generate approximately 71,000,000 kWh of green electricity annually. 

The completion of Zouping Project will not only satisfy the needs of the county, but will also improve its overall environment by effectively processing household waste to render it harmless, as well as reducing and reusing household waste.
