Chadbourne Expands Energy Project Finance Team in London

Chadbourne & Parke has strengthened its project finance team in London through the addition of international partner Julien Bocobza.

Mr. Bocobza joins Chadbourne from the Project Development and Finance group of Shearman & Sterling, where he worked as a project finance lawyer, with a particular focus on renewable energy and thermal power. He is the seventh lawyer to join Chadbourne’s London office in the last year.

Adrian Mecz, Managing Partner of the London office, stated:

We continue to seek opportunities to add to our project finance capabilities around the world, and Julien brings his deep experience acting for project sponsors and lenders across Africa, the Middle East and Turkey. He fits well with our team and will play an important role in growing our practice throughout the region.

In addition to his experience working on renewable energy and thermal power projects, Mr. Bocobza has advised sponsors, financiers and government agencies on energy and infrastructure projects in a broad range of industries, including the mining, transportation, water and telecommunications industries.

Mr. Bocobza received his undergraduate degree in public law and his master’s degree in public business law from the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. He also completed his LLM at the University of Melbourne. He speaks English, French and Spanish.

Chadbourne has a long history of working for the energy sector and is a recognized name in the business. More than 100 Chadbourne lawyers work on energy-related matters, 60 of them exclusively.
