CFE awards natural gas pipeline project to IEnova

Infraestructura Energética Nova (IEnova) has been declared winner of the Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) tender for the San Isidro - Samalayuca gas pipeline project in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico.

The project consists of a header facility with a capacity of 3 billion cubic feet per day and a 23 km pipeline with a capacity of 1,135 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.

The system will supply natural gas to the Norte III Combined Cycle Power Plant and will interconnect with the following systems: Gasoductos de Chihuahua, Tarahumara Pipeline and the Samalayuca-Sásabe pipeline.

The estimated investment is US$108 million and the project is expected to start operations during Q1 2017. The contract with CFE will have a duration of 25 years.

Carlos Ruiz Sacristán, Chairman and CEO of IEnova, stated:
