BAML names Philippe Chryssicopoulos Head of power, utilities and renewables in EMEA region

Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), a unit of Bank of America Corp. (BAC), has appointed Philippe Chryssicopoulos to head of utilities and renewables investment banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

This appointment reflects the growing importance of European infrastructure to the bank.

Based in London, Chryssicopoulos is a transport and infrastructure specialist. He joined BAML in 1998 and worked in a variety of roles across investment banking in London and New York.

In his different positions held in BAML, he has participated in several deals such as the acquisition of SK Energy's Brazil assets by AP Moller Maersk's (AMKBF) for an amount of US$2.4 billion and Golar LNG Partners' (GMLP) US$270 million initial public offering.

He will report to John Lynch, head of EMEA power, utilities and renewables investment banking, and Jean-Eudes Renier, head of EMEA industrials investment banking.
