Asia Green Capital appoints Standard Chartered for fundraising

Singapore-based Asia-focussed renewable-energy developer and investor, Asia Green Capital Partners Pte Ltd, has appointed Standard Chartered Bank as its financial advisor for a fund raising exercise, according to a press release of the firm.

This funds will be used for the company’s funding requirement for development and construction of its growing portfolio of wind and solar power projects in the Southeast Asian region.

As wee announced on Aug. 20, Asia Green Capital and International Finance Corporation (IFC) will be co-developing the first wind-power project in Indonesia’s South Sulawesi province.

The company expects to complete the development and start construction of three of its wind projects in Indonesia and one of its solar power projects in the Philippines by the end of 2016. The current portfolio of Asia Green Capital includes over 400 megawatt (MW) of projects in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Asia Green partners for wind projects with the International Finance Corporation and the Asian Development Bank in Indonesia and the company has a dedicated solar PV development platform together with German EPC provider Juwi AG.
