Ashurst strengthens resources and infrastructure team with partner hire from Jakarta

Ashurst has announced the appointment of Andrew Digges as a Singapore-based partner in its resources and infrastructure team.

Andrew joins from Allen & Overy, where he was part of the global projects group for over 15 years. Since 2011 Andrew has had a key role in establishing Allen & Overy's associated office in Jakarta.

Mr Digges has extensive experience in advising on project development and project finance in the power, infrastructure, mining, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors, predominantly in Asia. In particular, Andrew has extensive experience in advising on many major Indonesian power projects over the past six years.

Global Head of Resources and Infrastructure, Mark Elsey, commented:

"Resources and infrastructure is an area of key strategic focus for the firm. Andrew is a seasoned and highly regarded practitioner who will add significant depth to our offering in this area in the Asia region as well as further enhancing our market leading global platform."

Andrew Digges added:

"Ashurst has a very strong reputation in Asia and exceptional credentials in energy, resources and infrastructure so this is a great platform from which to further develop the business. I look forward to working with the rest of the team in helping to realise the firm's strategic goals for growth in the region."
