Apex Clean Energy acquires second Illinois asset from American Wind Energy Management

Apex Clean Energy has acquired a second project from American Wind Energy Management Corp (AWEM),

The project acquired is Sangamon Wind One in western Sangamon County, Illinois (US). It has the potential to support 130 MW of wind energy.

Mark Goodwin, president of Apex, said:

“We’re pleased to be working with AWEM to bring another high-quality project to completion. With Sugar Creek before it, Sangamon Wind promises to strengthen Apex’s presence in central Illinois.”

Andreas Knauer, president of AWEM, stated:

“AWEM is once again very excited to be teaming with Apex to move another project forward through acquisition. We look forward to our continued relationship with Apex and to working alongside them through the final stages of development and construction.”
