Luiz Eduardo B. Freitas, lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in large law firms and corporations, is joining Brazilian law firm Amatuzzi + Matos Advogados as a new Partner to lead the Energy Practice of the firm and to contribute with his considerable experience and expertise the M&A, Structured Finance and Infrastructure practices.

During the time spent in the most prestigious Brazilian firms and large companies, Luiz Freitas worked in corporate transactions (M&As) and financial transactions in different industries. In the last years, Luiz Freitas focused his work in the energy industry. As external advisor, executive and officer of the largest players in the market, Luiz Freitas led negotiations and structuring for M&A transactions, debt deals, project finance and equipment and BOP construction negotiations, in this last one also acting as the responsible for the commercial negotiations.
