Now, the Government of Alberta (GOA) has recently tasked the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), the not-for-profit entity responsible for the planning and operation of the Alberta interconnected electric system, to develop and implement the Renewable Electricity Program (REP) to bring on new renewable generation capacity over the period to 2030.

As the first phase of the engagement, the AESO has made a questionnaire both for developers and investors that interested parties may respond to and submit to the Alberta electric operator.
