SAE is transforming the Uskmouth Sustainable Energy Park (USEP) in Wales into one of the UK’s largest battery storage hubs, with a total planned capacity of approximately 3.5 GWh. Additionally, development is underway for a 1.2 GWh battery storage project (Mey BESS) in Scotland.
Tidal Stream Energy:
SAE owns the MeyGen project, the world's largest consented tidal stream project, with a current development capacity of 398 MW and an 86 MW consent granted in 2014. Phase 1 is already operational.
