ILOS Energy

ILOS Energy is a European renewable-energy company, founded in 2018, with a mission to become a leading independent power producer (IPP) in solar photovoltaics (PV). The company develops, constructs, and operates solar-PV projects — and increasingly combines these with complementary technologies like battery storage or hydrogen interfaces. Headquartered in Karlsruhe, Germany, ILOS operates across seven major European markets: the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Spain and (since mid-2023) Germany. As of end-2024, its portfolio comprised around 4.5 GWp of solar-PV assets, including operating sites, projects under construction, and ready-to-build (RtB) assets. ILOS is relatively lean — its core team includes 70+ employees spread over multiple countries — but the company emphasizes a “founder-led management” structure and deep in-house expertise in development, construction and asset management. This structure gives ILOS tight control over projects, from early planning and community engagement through to construction, grid connection, and long-term operation.
