Aéroports de Paris (ADP) is the French airport authority that owns and manages the fourteen civil airports and airfields in the Île-de-France (Paris) area. It operates three notable airports located near Paris, Charles de Gaulle, Orly, and Le Bourget. Created as a government-owned corporation in 1945, it became a public company in 2005. The French government and the Ile-De-France region have kept stakes in the company. As of 2011, the government holds 52% of the shares, thus effectively controlling the company.
