Endeavour Energy

Company description

Endeavour Energy is an Australian electricity distribution network operator that services over 2.6 million people across Greater Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands, Illawarra, and the South Coast of New South Wales (NSW). The company is responsible for maintaining and expanding a vast network of poles, wires, substations, and infrastructure that delivers electricity from the transmission system to homes and businesses. It is a public-private partnership. While the NSW Government retains a 49.6% interest, the majority stake (50.4%) is held by a consortium of private investors, including Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, AMP Capital, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, and Qatar Investment Authority. It focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of electricity. It is not a generator or retailer, but a distributor within the national electricity market (NEM).

Endeavour Energy is part of the ACEREZ consortium (alongside ACCIONA and COBRA), tasked with delivering Australia’s first Renewable Energy Zone transmission network under a long-term concession.
