Climate Fund Managers (CFM)

Company description

Climate Fund Managers is a Netherlands-based climate-focused investment manager established in 2015 and headquartered in The Hague. The firm specializes in blended finance, combining public and private capital to fund infrastructure projects that address climate change mitigation and adaptation in emerging markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Climate Fund Managers raises and manages climate finance funds that invest in sectors such as renewable energy, water and sanitation, ocean infrastructure, and green hydrogen. The company manages more than USD 2 billion in assets under management and structures investment vehicles—such as Climate Investor One and Climate Investor Two—to finance projects across the full lifecycle, from development and construction to operational stages. Founded as a joint venture between the Dutch development bank FMO and Sanlam InfraWorks (part of the Sanlam Group of South Africa), the firm aims to deliver both environmental impact and risk-adjusted financial returns while supporting sustainable infrastructure and climate resilience in developing economies.
