In addition to its large legal practice, Squire is the largest lobbying firm in the United States, having contributed over US$13 million to political candidates from 1989 to 2014 and having earned more than US$540 million in lobbying fees from 1998 to 2014, most of which was through the former Patton Boggs firm.
