GE Vernova Inc. has announced that it has agreed with Greenvolt Power – part of Greenvolt Group, to supply, install and commission 42 of its 6.1 MW–158 meter onshore wind turbines to power the Gurbanesti wind farm in Călărași county in Romania. This comes after a prior announcement that GE Vernova would provide 42 turbines for the Ialomița wind farm in Romania, with the two developments together expected to deliver around 500 MW of capacity. The Gurbanesti contract was secured in Q4 of 2025, with turbine deliveries planned to start in 2026.
